Zachary Herrera

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, at Faith Baptist Church for Zachary Allen Herrera, 1803 Clayton Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Zachary, 9, died Sunday, September 14, 2003, at his home. Rev. Michael Elliott will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Gracia, Will Gonzalez, Bobby Trujillo, Ismael Bear Herrera, Jay Holland, Mark Hildebrand, and Ralph Espinosa. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Herrera, Andrew Barrientes, Christopher Beltran, Joshua Smith, Drew Beauchamp, J.J. Calloway, and Manny Perez. Zachary was born November 15, 1993 in Denver City, Texas; the son of Dimas Herrera and Misti Baize Herrera. He came to Artesia in 1994 from Denver City. He was a student and loved playing soccer, baseball and basketball. A rosary is also scheduled at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday at Terpening Son Chapel. Survivors include his parents Dimas and Misti Herrera of Artesia; brother Anthony Abdon Herrera of Artesia; sister Samantha Nicole Herrera of Artesia; maternal grandparents Nancy Baize of Denver City, and Ronnie and Donna Baize of Artesia; paternal grandparents Donce and Josie Herrera of Seminole, Texas, and Servando and Elvina Garcia of Raymondville, Texas; great-grandmothers Felicita Herrera of San Perlita, Texas and Guadalupe Cavazos of Raymondville; also by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
