Yvonne Zumwalt

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at 262 Pueblo Road in Lake Arthur for Yvonne Marie Zumwalt of Lake Arthur.

Mrs. Zumwalt, 58, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Yvonne was born May 13, 1954 in Ruidoso, New Mexico the daughter of Bill McTeigue and Johnnie Salcido McTeigue. She was a longtime area resident.

On Oct. 13, 1973 she was married to Jack Zumwalt in San Patricio, N.M.

She was a housewife and a member of Roswell Photo Club, she enjoyed photography and spending time with her family and friends. She was a women who knew no stranger and accepted everyone full of life and always smiling at the sight of everyone having fun. Laughter was her best medicine. If there was a party she was the life of it and if there wasnt one then she made one.

Yvonne was preceded in death by a grandson Sterling McCaw.

Survivors include her husband Jack Zumwalt of Lake Arthur parents Bill and Johnnie McTeigue of Hondo, N.M. daughters Julie Correa of Las Cruces, NM, Michelle Zumwalt of Wylie, Texas, and Jackie McCaw of Artesia brothers Curtis McTeigue of Roswell, NM, Walter McTeigue of Hondo, Michael McTeigue of Sandy, Oregon, and Jerome McTeigue of Hondo grandchildren Bran Tinker, Khristopher Riddall, Dylan Correa, Wyatt McCaw, Kadence McCaw and Nathan Riddall.
