Ysaias Marquez, Jr.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, a Rosary will be recited Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with a Prayer service following at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Jr. Marquez, 61 died September 11, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas.

He was known as EZ to many friends. Jr. could thread a needle in a single pass or design a highway in his sleep. In his youth he loved to dress well. As a boy he could not afford many suits so he got a hold of used suits and redesigned them to fit him, there his love for fashion grew. Jr. started designing clothing and having Fashion shows. Jr. was a man with many talents. He worked on road construction first as a laborer then working his way up to survey engineer. Jr. loved working on road construction and made many friends while working on the road construction crews. He always kept music in this heart, especially the Beatles. Jr. served in the United States Army.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Mendoza, Tony Marquez, and Manuel Moreno.

Jr. Marquez was born January 23, 1949 to Ysaias Chayo T. Marquez, Sr and Josefina Josie V. Marquez in Cottonwood, NM.

He is preceded in death by his Father July 24, 2000 and his Mother April 24, 2007, also his sister Chona Marquez and a son James David Ramirez.

On April 23, 2010 he married his wonderful and beautiful wife Ana Angela Marquez, whom he loved dearly.

Survivors include his Wife Ana Marquez of the family home sons, Trancy L. Marquez and his adoring wife Johnnie of Artesia, Marty Marquez of Roswell brother, Jerry L. Marquez of Santa Fe, NM sister Darlene and Rolando Chavarria of Artesia the joy of his heart grandson Fabian Lopez nieces, Jennifer Marquez, Jeanette Marquez and Raven Chavarria nephews, Joseph Marquez, Jeremiah Marquez and Rolando Chavarria, III and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
