Mr. Arakaki was born August 28, 1926 in Waikea Uka, Hawaii the son of Kojin Arakaki and Kamizu Arakaki.

On February 7, 1959 he was married to Vivian Iwalani Kamaki in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a lifelong resident of Hawaii.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Vivian Arakaki of the family home sons Curtis Cortez of Napa, California, Anson Cortez of Honolulu, Hawaii, Cy Arakaki of Honolulu, Yasushi Arakaki of Captain Cook, Hawaii, and Yasushi Akeakamai Arakaki of Kalamaula, Hawaii daughters Raynae Fonoimoana of Hauula, Hawaii, and Roxann Mick of Mayhill brother Koyei Arakaki of San Jose, California 20 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.
