Winifred Hooker

Memorial services are scheduled at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, October 12, at Terpening Son Chapel for Winifred Rose Hooker, 2712 W. Richardson Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Hooker, 73, died Friday, October 10, 2003 at her home. Fr. Paul Murtagh will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Hooker was born February 1,1930 in Cheyenne, Wyoming; the daughter of George Robben and Mabel Caldwell Robben. On May 20, 1948 she was married to James Hooker in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She came to Artesia in 1955. He preceded her in death May 15, 2003. She was a retired bookkeeper for Union Supply, and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary Kathleen, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and a grandson Ty Hughes. Survivors include daughters Jennifer Hughes and husband Dale of Artesia, and Leslie Noel and husband John of Copperas Cove, Texas; surrogate daughter and caregiver Kate Perez of Artesia; brother Walt Robben of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren Justin Hughes and wife LeAnna of Artesia, Sarah Noel of Copperas Cove, and John David Noel of Copperas Cove; great-grandchildren Brittini and Maigan.
