Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, at Terpening Son Chapel for Wilma Cox of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Cox, 96, died Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Sunset Villa Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico. Rev. Tom Gunn will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Cox was born July 24, 1907 in Highland County, Ohio; the daughter of Minous A. Gall and Margaret Ward Gall. On Sept. 15, 1934 she was married to William Thadeus Cox in Albuquerque, NM. She came to Artesia in 1946 from Roswell, NM. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1956. She was a housewife and mother. She had also served as Secretary for Ohio State Banking Dept in Columbus Ohio. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, past Pres. P.E.O. Chapter J and organizing member Chapter AQ of P.E.O., past Pres. DeMolay Mothers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and a brother. Survivors include sons William D. Bill Cox of Mill Valley, Calif., Richard Thaddeus Dick Cox and wife Pat of Spring, Texas, and John Wesley Cox of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Kathy Anne Phipps and husband Mike of Artesia; sisters Ruth Kibler of Newark, Ohio and Carolyn Fulton of Peebles, Ohio; 8 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
