William Peterson

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Terpening Son Chapel for William Alfred Peterson, 50 Rowlette Rd., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Peterson, 73, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

William was born July 29, 1937 in Los Angeles, California the son of William Alfred Peterson Sr. and Grace Scott Sr. He came to Artesia in 1989 from Texas.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.

He was a heavy equipment operator and retired military. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League.

He was preceded in death by wives Betty and Peggy, a son Dathen Peterson, parents, a sister Beverly, brother Don, and stepdaughter Diana Fear.

Survivors include sons William Dean Peterson, Dana Edward Peterson, Darren Scott Peterson, and Allen Drew Peterson daughter Debra Sue Peterson brother Miles Peterson numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews
stepchildren Sharon Deardorf, Delia Modor, Jerry Hill, Donny Rogers and Charles Rogers.
