Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, at West Main Baptist Church for William Bill Kizer, 712 Bullock Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Kizer, 68, a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, died Monday, January 1, 2007 at his home. Rev. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services. Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Woodbine Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Brady and the members of Bill's Emmaus Reunion Group. No visitation is scheduled. Mr. Kizer was born August 28, 1938 in Jennings, Oklahoma; the son of Joe M. Kizer and Mildred Clemens Kizer. He came to Artesia in 1970 from Lovington, N.M. On Aug. 19, 1992 he was married to Sue Maxwell Karnosky in Roswell, N.M. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was parts manager for Artesia Ford before retiring. He was a member of West Main Baptist Church, active in Walk to Emmaus and Mens Bible Study Group He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Sue Kizer of the family home; son Ken Karnosky and wife Deborah of Leavenworth, Kansas; daughters Sue Kizer Petroulas and husband Jim of Silver Springs, Maryland, Karen Bland and husband Gordon of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Shannon Greene and husband Bill of Arlington, Texas; sisters Pat Coffey of Roswell, and Anita Berry of Artesia; and also by grandchildren Jordyn, Joshua, J'Lainne, Karis, Maddison, Kassie, Kara, Kaleb, Whitney, Alex, Katie and Maddison Paige.
