William Hull

Closed casket services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 24, at First United Methodist Church for William E. Hull of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Hull, 74, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 in Artesia. Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jess McGary, Tom Felber, Bill Case, Killian Nettesheim, Mike Simons, and Ronnie Null. Honorary pallbearers will be the Thursday Senior Golfers. Mr. Hull was born December 24, 1929 in Clarksville, Arkansas; the son of Joseph Chester Hull and Sarah Jewel Shrum Hull. On March 7, 1952 he was married to Patsy Baber in Littlerock, Ark. He came to Artesia in 1956 from Clarksville. He was a public school principal retiring from Zia Intermediate School in 1984. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church; a member of the Eastern New Mexico Senior Golf Association; and a lifetime member of the N.E.A. Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his parents; by one brother; and by a great-granddaughter Bryannah Galindo. Survivors include his wife Pat Hull of the family home; a son Mark Hull and wife Shelli of Artesia; a daughter Leslie Studds and husband George of Lovington, N.M.; and grandchildren Monica Solis and husband Refugio, Veronica Hull, Christopher Studds, and Kirstene Campbell.
