Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, at Trinity Temple Assemblies of God for William Bill Douglas Fowler of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Fowler, 74, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at his home. Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be Christopher Fowler, Joshua Fowler, Cody Towler, Dusty Towler, Chad Woolf, and Chase Woolf. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrod Fowler, Les Walker, and John Bivens. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Fowler was born October 28, 1935 in Snyder, Texas; the son of William Douglas Fowler and Lenora Miller Fowler. He came to Artesia in 1953 from Dalhart, Texas. On June 2, 1955 he was married to Arlene Faulk in Roswell, N.M. Bill worked for Navajo Refinery for 37 years before retiring in 1997 as a Utility supervisor. He was a member of Trinity Temple Assemblies of God Church, and the N.R.A. He was an avid Bulldog fan, and loved woodworking and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Diana Fowler Delgado; and a grandson Jerrod Lee Fowler. Survivors include his wife Arlene Fowler of the family home; daughter Sherrie Towler of Roswell; sons Billy Fowler and wife Donna of Albuquerque, N.M., and Corey Fowler and wife Marta of Roswell; sisters Cynthia Jefferies and husband Bud of Hurst, Texas, and Kathy Owens of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Cody Towler and wife Rachael of Roswell, Dusty Towler and wife Amber of Roswell, Deanne Towler of Roswell, Chris Fowler and wife Maria of Albuquerque, Taya Herrera and husband Jesse of Albuquerque, Joshua Fowler and wife Malea of Albuquerque, Elia Fowler of Albuquerque, Erica Zamarron and husband Rafeal of Artesia, Kyla Fowler of Artesia, Larissa and Breanna Fowler both of Roswell, Chad Woolf and wife Jamie of Las Cruces, N.M., and Chase Woolf and wife Crystal of Las Cruces; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Loretta Walker and husband Lester of Roswell, and Jo Bivens and husband John of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
