Washington Mcguire, Sr.

Memorial graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, Apr. 15, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for W.B. McGuire of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. McGuire, 68, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Stan Craig will officiate at the services. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Mr. McGuire was born December 25, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico the son of Washington Bernard McGuire, Sr. and Mary Edna Smith.

On March 18, 1970 he was married to Sharon Martin in Hereford, Texas. He was a long time Artesia resident.

W.B. drove trucks and was a member of the Hermosa Drive Church of Christ and the Artesia Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife Sharon McGuire of the family home the ones he loved the most Dorothy Tom Martinez of Grand Junction, Co, Shawn Lightfoot of Amarillo, Texas, Ty Lightfoot of Amarillo, Lisa Bane of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Peyton J. Tillman of St. Augustine, Florida and 8 grandchildren.
