Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am Monday, October 25, at the Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, New Mexico for Wanda Faye Sweatt of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Sweatt, 88, died on October 19, 2021 at her home in Artesia.
Wanda was born on June 7, 1933 in Clarendon, Texas; the daughter of Andy Hallford and Mary Cooper Hallford. She was married to William Livingston after graduation from high school in Portales, New Mexico. They moved to Artesia and raised three boys.
She was married to Bill Sweatt on July 16, 2002. With this marriage she joined the two families together, gaining two daughters Sandra Trainor and Beverly Tate.
She owned and operated Montgomery Wards for many years in Artesia. After selling Montgomery Wards, she worked for Hughes Hot Oil Service in Loco Hills, N.M., and later went to work and retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Wanda enjoyed traveling. She and Bill enjoyed many trips all over the world. She also enjoyed crafts, gardening and playing bridge.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Bill Sweatt, brother Garland Hallford, and grandsons Andrew and Landon.
Survivors include brother, Lavone Hallford, sons Ken Livingston and wife Irene, Robert Livingston and wife Janet, and Kirk Livingston and wife Janis; daughters Beverly Tate and husband Christopher, and Sandra Trainor and husband Bill; grandchildren Kendall Livingston and wife Brynne, Lee Livingston and wife Florence, Lisa Brooker and husband Clayton, Amber Romero and husband Arsenio, Sam Livingston and wife Emily, Ruth Carruthers and husband Carson, Miguel Madrid and wife Vanessa, Sandi Moore and husband Thomas, Chelsea Denning and husband Jordan, Bill Trainor and wife Mary; great-grandchildren Orion, Gage, Aspen, Deklyn, Madison, Matthew, Lacy, Luke, Taylor, Joseph, Adilen, Andrew, Conner, Jonathan, Zachary, Clay, Carly, Jayden, Miguel, Mateo, Miseal, Miliano, Trace, Brayden, Jaxon, Cade, Emelia, Andru, Will and Wyatt; also by her caregivers for the last two years Claudia Juarez, Elizabeth Aragon, Tammy Lemons, Barbara Hunter, and Jessica Parkhurst.
