Virginia Ham

April 4, 1944 — March 7, 2013

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Virginia Grace Ham of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Ham, 68, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Joshua Oakes will officiate at the services.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Virginia was born April 4, 1944 in Gainesville, Texas the daughter of E.L. Luna and Mary Jane Winkles Luna. She was a longtime Artesia resident.

On May 31, 1960 she was married to Bobby Ham in Carlsbad, N.M.

Virginia was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed making quilts, and attending the Artesia Senior Citizen Center on Wednesdays.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.

Survivors include her husband Bobby Ham of the family home daughters Marilyn Oakes and husband John of Silver City, N.M., and Deborah Romo and husband Tony of Phoenix, Arizona sons Gary Ham and wife Crystal of Ridgecrest, California, and Danny Ham and wife Deborah of Carlsbad sisters Joyce Collinsworth of Roswell, N.M., and Betty Martin of Artesia 16 grandchildren, and 3 greatgrandchildren.
