Virginia Granado

Services are scheduled at 9:30 am. Tuesday, August 19, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Virginia Salas Grandado, 1103 N. 6th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Granado, 55, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at Artesia General Hospital. Fr. Brian Guerrini, SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Almanza, Rico Salas, Tommy Salas, Eddie Salas, Ernesto Salas, and Arthur Gonzales HONORARY: Nieves Grado III, Isaac Granado, Angel Grado, and Alfredo D. Munoz. A rosary is also scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 1:00 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Granado was born March 4, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Domingo Salas and Thomasa Delgado Salas. In May, 1976 she was married to Eduardo E. Granado in Artesia, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He preceded her in death May24, 1984. She was a housewife and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother: Thomasa Salas of Artesia; sons Gabriel Granado of Artesia, Christopher Granado of Artesia, and Roger Olvera of Artesia; daughter Genevieve Grado of Artesia; brothers Tommy Salas of Tucson, Arizona, Eddie Salas of Artesia, Domingo Salas of Bullhead, Arizona, Ernesto Salas of Tucson, and Jimmy Salas of Artesia; sister Yolanda Grado of Phoenix, Arizona; 9 grandchildren Isaac Granado, Mercedes Grado, Eduardo Grado, Dominic Grado, Zachary Grado, Jaden Olvera, Alijah Granado, Jadrien Perez and Jaslyn Granado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
