Victor Lopez

Prayer services are scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Terpening Son Chapel for Victor Lopez, 507 W. Bush Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Lopez, 75, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

David Valverde will officiate at the services. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27 at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leonardo Lopez, Sr., Leonardo Lopez, Jr., David Valverde, Frankie Castinios,Manuel Salcido, Robert Valverde III, Waldo Murillo, Jr., Ernie Hernandez.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.

Victor was born January 23, 1938 in Lemetar, New Mexico the son of Manuel Lopez and Juanita Lopez Lopez. He came to Artesia in 2009 from Albuquerque, NM.

On Aug. 5, 1978 he was married to Gloria Valverde in Santa Barbara, California.

He was a member of the Apostolic Church.

Survivors include his wife Gloria Lopez of Artesia daughter Sonia Castro and husband Manuel of Commerce City, Colorado brothers Leonardo Lopez of Denver, Colorado, Juan Lopez of Little Rock, California, and Lorenzo Lopez of Tacoma, Washington sisters Elsie Lopez of Washington, Precilla Baudry of Nevada, and Shirley Saucedo of Denver grandchildren Victor, Samuel, Rosina and Jouse.
