Vicente Bustamante Jr.

Services are scheduled at 9:30 AM. Friday, November 19, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Vicente Sosa Bustamante Jr., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Bustamante, 68, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Artesia General Hospital. Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park and Veteran's Graveside Services. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Bustamante, Adrian Ponce Jr., Salvadore Bustamante, Jimmy Bustamante, Felipe Bustamante, and Ruben Bustamante. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Mr. Bustamante was born August 23, 1936 in Presidio, Texas; the son of Vicente H. Bustamante Sr. and VicentaSosaBustamante. On Oct. 24, 1960 he was married to Eleanor Mae Wauneka in Big Spring, Texas. He came to Artesia in 1976 from Big Spring. He served in the Army. He was a Heavy Equipment operator for Sweatt Construction and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was active at the Senior Citizens Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 8 brothers. Survivors include his wife Eleanor Bustamante of the family home; sons Silio Bustamante of Bend, Oregon, Vicente W. Bustamante III of Artesia, Juan Bustamante of Artesia, Lucaz Bustamante of Okinawa, Japan, and Alcario Bustamante of North Fork, Virginia; daughters Margaret Bustamante of Artesia, and Diana Bustamante of Artesia; brothers Francisco Bustamante of Big Spring, and Pio Bustamante of Big Spring; sister Manuela Perez of Big Spring; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
