Vera Gonzales

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Terpening Son Chapel for Vera Corona Gonzales, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Gonzales, 86, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Richard Leaton will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Vera was born June 12, 1926 in Tuscon, Arizona the daughter of Augustine Corona Sr. and Alvina Sosa Corona. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

In 1947 she was married to Edward Leos. He preceded her in death 1957. She was then married to Faustine R. Gonzales in 1963. He preceded her in death May 15, 2012.

She was a housewife and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dianna Hammond, and a greatgranddaugther Brianna Armendariz.

Survivors include daughters Nancy Morales of Artesia, and Helen Gonzales of Artesia sons Jesse Leos of Roswell, N.M., Danny Leos of Hobbs, N.M., Tony Gonzales of Artesia, and Israel Gonzales of Hobbs brother Augustine Sosa Corona sisters Catalina C. Juarez of Artesia, and Marisela Garcia of Carlsbad, N.M. 17 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren.
