Services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Monday, November 3, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Velma May Bradley, 2001 W. Currier Ave. Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Bradley, 76, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Goss, Raymond Crabb, Billy David Bizzell, Judd Bradley, Rodney Hinshaw, Barry Freeman and Martin Sevcik. Mrs. Bradley was born December 1,1926 in Checotah, Oklahoma; the daughter of Claude Green and Clara Dryer Green. On Dec. 30, 1944 she was married to Earl Dempsey Bradley in Dexter, New Mexico. She came to Artesia in 1988 from Cloudcroft, New Mexico. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1992. She was an Office Administrator for the U.S. Forest Service and member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and 2 brothers. Survivors include sons Jay Bradley and wife Jane of Los Lunas, NM, and Sam Bradley and wife Jill of Conroe, Texas; sisters Judy Fenstermaker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Pearl McTee of Denison, Texas, and Fay Bizzell of Artesia; brother Elmer Green of Harper, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
