Velma Bobo

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, at Woodbine Cemetery for Velma Bobo, Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Bobo, 92, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. PJ.T. Ross will officiate at the services. No visitation is scheduled. PMrs. Bobo was born May 18, 1913 in Wellston, Oklahoma. She came to Artesia in 1935 from Oklahoma. POn January 2, 1937 she was married to Basil Bobo in Artesia. He preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1979. PShe was a housewife and member of Eighth and Grand Church of Christ. PVelma was preceded in death by her parents, a son Milton Bobo, three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include brother Gerald Christy and wife Joyce of Luther, Oklahoma; longtime friend Velma Matthews of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
