Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 17, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God, for Valerie Kay Baca, 302 N. 4th St. Apt. 303, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Baca, 46, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at her home. Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Baca, Joshua Baca, Kerry Ornelas, Eddy Ornelas, Ivan Aguilar, and Jerome Aguilar. Ms. Baca was born December 29, 1959 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Joe B. Baca and Nora Samora Baca. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. She was a cosmetologist by trade. After attaining her license she continued taking various college courses in Roswell and Carlsbad. Her favorite hobbies included crocheting and assorted hand crafts. She attended a range of small churches and lastly was a member of Trinity Temple. She loved the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul and vowed to live and follow His word on a daily basis. Survivors include her parents Joe and Nora Baca of Artesia; son Jonath A. Gomez of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother Joe Jeffrey Baca of Albuquerque; sister Karen Thompson of Upper Marlboro, Maryland Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
