Troy Boyce

October 13, 1932 — July 15, 2003

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 18, at First Baptist Church for Troy Alton Boyce, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Boyce, 70, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Boyce was born October 13, 1932 in Dayton, New Mexico; the son of William Lee Boyce and Hattie A. Wright Boyce. On Feb. 18,1955 he was married to Lamora Parker in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was a lifelong resident of the Artesia area. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a Maintenance Superintendent for Champion Construction at Navajo Refinery. He was a member of the Baptist denomination, American Quarterhorse Assoc., and the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Lamora Boyce of the family home; son Mike Solt Boyce of Azle, Texas; brother Bob Boyce of Artesia; sisters Eva Lee Hegwer of Artesia, Linda Bland of Hobbs, NM, and Billie Haynes of Artesia; granddaughters Quana Jo, Amanda, Susan, and Liz; 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
