Trinidad Serrano

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Trinidad Soza Serrano of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Serrano, 85, died July 26, 2019 at her home in Artesia, NM.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallberarers will be Robert Serrano, Jr., Robert Serrano, Joe Serrano Sr., Ernest Serrrano, Rudy Serrano, Jacob Serrano, and David Serrano.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace.

Trinidad was born May 27, 1934 in Marfa, TX; the daughter of Teodoro Soza and Felicita (De La O) Soza. On February 24, 1954 she married Jose O. Serrano. They moved to Artesia in 1969 from Van Horn, TX. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2010.

She was a housewife and a member of Our lady of Grace. She enjoyed taking care of plants, listening to music, dancing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gilbert Serrano and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her sons Joe Serrano Jr. of Artesia, David Serrano of Artesia, Ernest Serrano of Midland, TX, Rudy Serrano of Midland, TX and Robert Lee Serrano of Albuquerque, NM; daughters Cora Jean Serrano of El Paso, TX and Mary Ann Serrano of Artesia; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
