Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Trinidad C. Palma, 1704 W. Sears Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Palma, 74, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Casa Maria Nursing Center in Roswell, New Mexico. Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Fuentes, Daniel Bejarano, Bruce Short, Nicholes Short, Darryl Colter and Steven Martinez. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Church beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Palma was born August 23, 1934 in San Antonio, Mexico; the son of Celso C. Palma and Isabel T. Cabezuela Palma. On Feb. 2, 1956 he was married to Conrada Toni Jaques in Artesia. He came to Artesia in 1971 from Pinon, NM. She preceded him in death April 24, 1999. He was a construction laborer and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, 3 sisters and a grandson. Survivors include sons Joe Palma and wife Ida of Artesia, and TJ Palma and wife Jennifer of Artesia; daughters Virginia Colter and husband Roman of Florence, Arizona, Sylvia P. Jimenez and husband Jerry of Roswell, N.M., and Gloria Rutherford and husband John of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers Rafael Orosco of Artesia, Pete Palma of Carlsbad, N.M., and Manuel Palma of Ft. Sumner, N.M.; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
