Traci Mcwhirter

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 at the Meridian Civic Center for Traci Faries McWhirter of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. McWhirter, 47, passed away on March 14, 2018 at her home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Traci was born on January 21, 1971 in Coleman, T.X.; the daughter of Gerald Bryan Faries and Cherry Slayton. On December 23, 1993 she married Ronald McWhirter in Coleman. The family moved to Artesia in 2003 from Meridian, T.X.

Traci was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, a son Jimmy Whitehead and granddaughter Jayden.

Survivors include her husband Ronald McWhirter of the family home; mother Cherry Slayton of Coleman, T.X.; sons Cody McWhirter of El Paso, T.X. and Gage McWhirter of Hamilton, T.X.; brothers Billy Berry of Coleman T.X., Kirk Faries of Artesia and Teddy Faries of Coleman, T.X.; sister Rhonda Faries of Artesia; grandchildren Fernando, Leonardo, Jacelyn, Matthew and Daylon.

There will be a lunch served at the Civic Center before the service on Sunday.
