Toribio Soto

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Terpening & Son Chapel for Toribio Soto of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Soto, 81, died December 11, 2021 at Artesia, NM.

Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Orlando Soto, Elias Soto, Oscar Meraz, Agustin Rodriguez, Fernando Rodriguez, Alfredo Soto, Rene Soto, Pablo Soto .

A visitation will be held at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Tuesday, December 21 from 2pm - 6pm.

Toribio was born April 15, 1940 in Porvenir, Chihuahua to Manuel Soto and Maria Serros.

Toribio is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Del Pilar Ornelas De Soto, three sons, Manuel Soto, Aristeo Soto, and Fernando Soto

He is survived by sons, Manuel Soto, Pablo Soto, and Toribio Soto Jr. and daughters, Graciela Soto, and Lorena Soto, as well as numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Toribio was a mechanic in Mexico for many years. He was also a field worker in both Mexico and the US. Dedicated his life to his kids and his wife Maria. Toribio fell in love with Maria when they were at the ages of 15 and 12, and they were married 3 years later in Mexico on October 8, 1958. Toribio and Maria had 8 children. The two moved to the US in the year 2000, and they moved to Artesia in the year 2005.

Toribio spent his whole life working. In his free time he loved to spend time with his family. Toribio loved to help people and loved to work on many things. He worked until he could work no longer. Toribio was very dedicated and a hardworking man. A father, a brother, and a loving grandfather to many.
