Services are scheduled for 10 am Friday, June 9, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Tony Vasquez of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Vasquez, 58, died on June 5, 2023 at his home in Artesia, NM.
Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace at 8 am on Friday. A rosary is also scheduled for 9:30 am on Friday.
Tony was born on July 19, 1964 in Roswell, New Mexico. Tony work for Holly transportation for many year and then started his own company, In and out hotshot services. Tony was a long time resident of Artesia, NM.
Tony grew up in Roswell New Mexico. He lived there till his sophomore year where he spent a lot of time with his friends from the neighborhood. He also competed in boxing and had the privilege to go to Golden gloves in his early teenage years. He's sophomore year he moved to Lake Arthur. He spent his three years of high school. He made great friends and graduated at lake Arthur high. Right after high school he join the Army national guard.(he completed 9 years of service)on November 19, 1983 he married to Sylvia Perez, of Artesia Nm. He enjoyed taking the family fishing, hunting, camping he love the great outdoors. He enjoyed been out working on his little ranch with his animal, He enjoyed Working on classic cars, He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife, children and friends to bike rallies, cruises etc, He also enjoyed working on his Lowriders and his own 1948 Chevrolet sedan, Tony was always willing to give a helping hand to anybody and everybody.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Vasquez; his parents Eva and Mike Levario; sons Fabian Vasquez, and Tony Vasquez Jr.; a daughter Vanessa Vasquez; sisters Barbara Grice, Debbie Vasquez, and Cindi Grado; also by grandchildren Francisco Orosco Jr. Marcos Orosco, Mason Vasquez, Andrea Vasquez, Gianna Vasquez and Raine Vasquez
