Tommy Hill

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 27, at West Main Baptist Church in Artesia, N.M. for lifelong area resident Tommy Hill of Lake Arthur, New Mexico. Mr. Hill, 61, died Monday, March 22, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Walt Isaacs will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Tommy was born June 25, 1942 in Indiana; the son of Ralph Stanley Hill and Evelyn Anna Stump Hill. On October 8, 2000 he was married to Letha Lasiter in Artesia. He was a bus driver for the Commission on Aging with the City of Artesia; and was a member of West Main Baptist Church and longtime active member of the Artesia Senior Center. He was a former member of the Lake Arthur School Board; was very active in of his kid's activities; and assisted in bringing Little League Baseball to Lake Arthur. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents; and by a daughter Robin S. Mitchell. Survivors include wife Letha Hill of the family home; sons Randy T. Hill of Artesia, and Ryann T. Hill of Artesia; a daughter Rainy Gordon of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister Regina Sutton of Artesia; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
