Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on November 19, at 9:30 a.m. for Tomas Dominguez of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Dominguez, 93, was called home by Our Lord Jesus Christ while his stay at Mission Arch in Roswell, N.M. on November 15,2012.
Fr. Brian Guerrini SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons Robert Dominguez, Darin Dominguez, Steve Madrid, Bobby Perez, Tim Martinez, Adam Joseph Ramirez, Ronnie Sharpe, and Gabriel Rivera. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Guerrero, Darren Alaniz, Guillermo Martinez, Joe Brian, John Eric, Steven, Dominic, Marcus, and Thomas Dominguez, Christopher and James Perez, Edward Delgado, Ben and Fernando Rivera.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday beginning at 4:00 p.m. A rosary will be at the church Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
He was born in Ft. Stockton, Texas on October 18, 1919 to Patricio and Ursula Dominguez.
Tomas was a World War II veteran stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. After his return from California, he worked for Texas Highway Department for ten years. In 1950, he moved to Artesia, NM and worked as a migrant worker for several years driving a tractor, planting, and bailing hay. He later worked for the Artesia schools for 16 years and retired in 1984.
He married Maria Carrasco on May 11, 1936. She preceded him in death on October 17, 1980. He was also preceded in death by his parents a son Robert Dominguez twin grandsons Greg and Richard Guerrero and soninlaw Henry Madrid.
He is survived by wife Frances Dominquez, and her children Ramona Tony Barela. Also surviving are five sons Tom, Bel Joe, Gloria John, Eddie, Laura and Danny, eight daughters Elidia Guerrero Felipe, Socorro Madrid, Kathy Ramirez Adam, Stela Hernandez Rick, Olga RiveraJohnny, Gloria Johnson Jack, Pat Dominguez and partner Lupe Gamez, Mary Alaniz Danny, 52 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, and 15 great great children, several nephews and nieces.
He will be dearly missed by many fiends and his dogs, gigi sergeant.
