Toby Sheppard

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31 at Twin Oaks Memorial Park Toby K. Sheppard, 1503 Bullock Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Sheppard, 76, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at his home. Toby was born October 27, 1932 in Evanston, Illinois; the son of Paul Wesley Sheppard and Marion Urania Blair Sheppard. He came to Artesia in 1992 from Carlsbad, N.M. He served in the Marine Corp Reserves and was an auto parts salesman. He was of the Presbyterian denomination, an avid golfer, a member of the Moose Lodge and served with the U.S.O. Survivors include the many friends and neighbors who helped take care of him over the last few years with special thanks to Rene and Lou Madrid, Sammy and Rosemary Fierro, Jimmy Arnold and the staff of Artesia Medical Supply, and Bob and Robert Brazil.
