Thomasa Salas

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Apr. 11, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Thomasa Salas of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Salas, 81, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at her home.

Fr. Brian Guerrini, SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Salas was born January 15, 1930 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Antonio Delgado and Elvida Hernandez Delgado.
Thomasa was married to Domingo Salas in Artesia. She was a life long Artesia resident. He preceded her in death December 11, 1980.

She was a Custodian for Abo School and an avid homemaker. She was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Thomasa was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Virginia Granado.

Survivors include her sons Tommy D. Salas and wife Dora of Tucson, Arizona, Eddie Salas of Artesia, Domingo Jumbo Salas of Artesia, Ernesto D. Salas and wife Jackie of Tucson, and Jimmy D. Salas of Artesia daughter: Yolanda Grado and husband Nieves Grado, Jr. of Glendale, Arizona sister Clotilde Fuentes and husband Manuel of Artesia 22 grandchildren 26 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren.
