Thelma Schafer

Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, N.M., for Thelma Mae Schafer, 2903 N. Washington, Roswell, New Mexico.

Mrs. Schafer, 92, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at her home.

Joey White will officiate at the services. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Thelma was born June 19, 1920 in Farmington, New Mexico the daughter of Mark Kincaid and Cordella McWilliams Kincaid. She came to Artesia in 1968 from Hope, NM.

She was a Cafe owneroperator and a member of Hermosa Church of Christ.

Survivors include sons William Ralph Schafer Jr. of El Dorado, Texas, Hugh Brian Schafer of Big Spring, Texas, and Jerry John Schafer of Caldwell, Texas daughter Melissa Beth Jordan of Roswell six grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and six greatgreatgrandchildren.
