Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007, at West Main Baptist Church for Thelma Tammy Dodson, 207 S. 40th Street, Artesia. Ms. Dodson, 40, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at her home in Artesia, New Mexico. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday April 1, at 2 p.m. till 9 p.m. at Terpening Son Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Harley Dodson, David Wages, George Sanchez, Ronald Froseth, Kevin Coddington, and Michael Mahan with honorary pallbearers Timothy Booth and Matthew Neal. Ms. Dodson was born May 31, 1966 in Las Cruces, New Mexico; the daughter of George Dodson and Earlene Watts Wages. She was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker and a member of West Main Baptist Church and church group Celebrate Recovery. Tammy had a kind and loving spirit and deep love for all her family and friends. She loved her animals and loved Runt, who died last year. Tammy was preceded in death by her sister Barbree Ellen Dodson. Survivors include her husband, Harry Burchett Jr. of the family home; mother, Earlene Wages of Artesia; father and step-mother, George and Concha Dodson of El Paso, Texas; son, Timothy Booth of Michigan; brothers, Harley Dodson and wife Maria of Levelland, Texas, David Wages and wife Susan of Artesia; sister, Ruth Mohr of Lakewood, Washington; grandparents, James and Wilma Goebel of Roswell, N.M.; uncle, Bill Dodson of Albuquerque, N.M.; aunts, Ruby Mahan of Artesia, Betty Matthews of Artesia, Ernestine Smith of Roswell, and Anita Fay Myers of Roswell; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
