Terry died on July 13, 2024 at her home in Artesia.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Terry was born on September 23, 1959 in Astoria, Oregon; the daughter of William Dean Taylor and Kathleen Fenney Perkins.

Terry was well known for lighting up any room with her smile and infectious laugh. She always made those she interacted with feel comfortable and heard. Terry requested a celebration of life rather than traditional funeral services. Terry always enjoyed karaoke and a celebration. Terry also enjoyed horse back riding, skiing, painting, writing short stories, and going to the dog park. Of all the things Terry enjoyed, motherhood was her favorite.

Terry was not only a mother but a cherished soul who walked in faith and touched the lives of everyone she met. Her life was a testament to her deep-rooted faith, which guided her actions and illuminated the path for those around her. Through her gentle spirit and steadfast devotion, she showed us the boundless love of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, step father Jerry Perkins, a sister Lori Perkins, and her "fur babies"- Rocky and Max.

Survivors include her mother Kay Perkins; a daughter Kathryn Fernandez; step children Diane Anderson, Kyle Fernandez, and Bobby Totman; brothers Tony Taylor and Bobby Taylor; step brother Jerry Perkins; sister Tamra Hague; step sisters Tobi Zavala, Kari Gauthier, and Jodi Perkins; also by granchildren Hezekiah Totman and Eliana Fernandez.
