Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday, June 12 at Woodbine Cemetery for Terry Lynn Strain of Lake Arthur, New Mexico. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 10 am to 12 pm on Monday.
Mr. Strain, 65, died on June 6, 2023 at his home in Lake Arthur.
Terry was born on December 19, 1957 in Hunstville, Alabama; the son of Harold Edward Strain and Macon Louise Cantrell Strain.
He was a lab technician at Navajo Refinery for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, playing horseshoes, and was a music fanatic. He was a big jokester and loved to laugh. He was a big supporter of the Disable Veteran's of America and a huge University of Oklahoma fan. Terry was a very honest and proud man and was willing to help anyone in need. He was also a very simple man that didn't much to be happy. He enjoyed life and rolled with the punches. Most of all he loved his kids and grandkids and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lonny Strain.
Survivors include his children John Eric Strain, Andrew Strain, Rebecka Maese and husband Kevin, and Teresa Strain; a brother Anthony Strain; grandchildren Lucas Strain, Issac Maese, Dominick Maese, Larissa Maese, Derek Maese, and Ainsley Gibson; also by numerous nieces and nephews.
