Teadora Ruiz

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Teadora Ruiz of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Ruiz, 85, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at her home.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Toni Segura, James Hoovan, Anthony Ruiz, Mark Velasquez, Jr., T.J. Ruiz, and Steve Ruiz.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Ruiz was born October 8, 1925 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Antonio and Blossom Delgado.

On August 4, 1944 she was married to Jose T. Ruiz in Carlsbad, N.M. She was a lifelong Artesia resident. He preceded her in death June 22, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 2 greatgrandchildren.

Teadora was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons Ruben Ruiz of Las Cruces, N.M., Freddy Ruiz of Carlsbad, Guadalupe Ruiz of Carlsbad, Leo Ruiz of Artesia, Roy Ruiz of Rio Rancho, N.M., Bregido Ruiz of Carlsbad, Frank Ruiz of Hagerman, N.M., Johnny Ruiz of Artesia, and Raymond Ruiz of Hobbs, N.M. daughters Mary Ruiz of Artesia, and Micky Rojas of Hobbs sisters Tomasa Salas of Artesia, and Coltilde Fuentes of Artesia 30 grandchildren 42 greatgrandchildren and 17 greatgreatgrandchildren.
