Sylvia Carrillo

Services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, January 23 at Terpening & Son Chapel for Sylvia L. Carrillo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Carrillo, 64, died on January 17, 2024 in El Paso, Texas.

Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6 pm on Monday.

Sylvia was born on September 8, 1959 in Artesia; the daughter of Clotilde Leyva and Maria Molina Leyva. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. She was married to Gerardo Carrillo in July 1988 in Artesia.

She enjoyed crocheting, watching the Price is Right, crime and drama movies, soap operas. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and the love of her life her husband Gerardo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ishmael Leyva.

Survivors include her husband Gerardo Carrillo; daughters Maria Carrillo, Destany Carrillo, and Leticia Carrillo; grandchildren Sebastaian Cabral, Jessabelle Carrillo, Alitzel Cabral, Camellia Cabral and Ayvallee Chavarria.
