Suzanne Rose

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, at First Baptist Church for Suzanne Elaine Rose, 304 La Cuesta Rd., Artesia, New Mexico.


Mrs. Rose, 60, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home.

Nolan Frederick will officiate at the services. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.

Mrs. Rose was born August 22, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia the daughter of H. Gordon Bower and Florence Jones Bower.

On August 30, 1969 she was married to Michael Rose in Chesterfield, Virginia. She came to Artesia in June, 2003 from Midland, Texas.

She was a stay at home mom. She graduated from Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Virginia in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include husband Michael Rose of the family home son Christopher W. Rose and wife Christina, Tucson, Arizona daughters Lisa M. Frederick and husband Cory of Midland, and Amanda E. Rose of Artesia sisters Carolyn Morowitz of Midlothian, Virginia, Patsy Taylor of Chesterfield, Linda Hess of Chesterfield, and Becky Burleigh of Chesterfield grandchildren Robert W. Rose of Tucson, Layla M. Frederick of Midland and Emily Kelley of Lake Orion, Michigan.

The family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Artesia Foundation, C.A.S.A. or to the Artesia Arts Council.
