Susanna Camarillo

Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at St. Anthonys Catholic for Susanna Chavez Camarillo of Artesia, NM.

Mrs. Camarillo, 71, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her home.

Fr. Francis Lazer will officiate at the services with burial at Santa Barbarita Cemetery in Santa Rosa, NM. Pallbearers will be Jose Pacheco, Valentino Pacheco, Ricky Pacheco, Johnny Pacheco, Gary Pacheco, Danny Kelley, Ronny Hernandez and Gene Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Jr., Albert, Dylan, Johhny Jr., Phillip, Jerry, Matthew and George Luevano.

There will also be a rosary on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

Susanna was born March 26, 1943 in Santa Rosa, NM the daughter of Santiago Chavez and Amada Lopez Chavez. She came to Artesia in 1988 from Dora, NM.

On March 12, 1992 she was married to Martin Camarillo in Plainview, TX.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Helens Catholic Church in Portales, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece Rebecca Sanchez.

Survivors include her husband Martin Camarillo of Artesia: sons Jose Pacheco and wife Trina of Las Vegas, NM, Valentino Pacheco wife Jeanette of Albuquerque, NM, Enrique Pacheco and wife Pam of Belen, NM, Gary Pacheco and wife Michelle of Midland, TX, and Johnny Pacheco and wife Christine of Roswell, NM daughters Carmen Kelley and husband Danny of Artesia, and Norma Jean Hernandez and husband Ronny of Santa Clarita, CA brother Jimmy Chavez and wife Linda of Estancia, NM sisters Lucy Chavez and husband Pablo of Santa Rosa, NM, Mary Sanchez and husband Ramond of Portales, NM, Delia Cavalleo of Ft. Sumner, NM, Ramona Lucero and husband Andrew of Ft. Sumner, NM, Juanita Chavez of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Pelland of Portales, NM and Florinda Salas of Las Vegas, NM. Many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
