Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Susan Chavez Molina of Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Molina, 67, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Carlsbad Medical Center. PFr. Paul Murtagh SSCC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gregg Molina, Gabriel Molina, Richard Ray Molina, Benjamin Sanchez, Anthony Sanchez, Michael Gonzales, Omar Gonzales, Jonathan Molina, and Joel Flores. PVisitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Friday at 6:30 p.m. PMrs. Molina was born March 10, 1942 in Artesia. POn Feb. 23, 1958 she was married to Abelino Molina in Artesia. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. PSusan worked as a beautician before retiring in 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and the Cursillistas. PShe was preceded in death by her parents; sister Leticia Gonzalez; and son Jessie Molina.
Survivors include her husband Abelino Molina of the family home; daughters Rita Gonzales and husband Jessie of Artesia, Ruth Sanchez of Artesia, and Terry Molina and husband Martin Segura of Artesia; sons Richard Molina and wife Kandy of Artesia, Oscar Molina and wife Josie of Artesia, and Martin Molina and wife Martha Vargas of Artesia; brother Ramon Cruz and wife Nancy of Hobbs, N.M.; sister Socorro Olivos of Hobbs; uncle Juan Chavez; and a close friend Ralph Nix, Jr.; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
