Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at First Baptist Church for Stephen Wayne Morrison, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Morrison, 34, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Mayhill, New Mexico.

Belton Mathews will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Terry, Wilbur Martinez, Michael Wadkins, Caleb Newton, Brandon Ripley,Mark Delano, Jason Krogman and Jody Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be all fellow employees of C.O.G.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Stephen was born November 16, 1978 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Willie Morrison and Debbie Newton Morrison.

On June 16, 2004 he was married to Melissa Ripley in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was an electrician with C.O.G. He attended the Baptist church, coached his daughters softball, basketball and soccer teams and was a Watchdog Dad. He loved his girls.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Junior Newton, Willie and Rosa Morrison and Charles Stubblefield.

Survivors include his wife Melissa Morrison of Artesia parents Willie and Debbie Morrison of Artesia parentsinlaw Steve and Kathy Ripley of Artesia daughters Kenna Morrison and Demrie Morrison of Artesia brotherinlaw Brandon Ripley of Artesia sisterinlaw Kim Delano and husband Mark of Norman, Oklahoma sisters Kathy Terry and husband Mark of Midland, Texas, Jessica Martinez and husband Wilbur of Artesia, and Laura Wadkins and husband Michael of Artesia grandmothers Linda Newton of Artesia, and Frances Stubblefield of Artesia and ten nieces and nephews.
