Stella Cummins

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 25, at Westside Church of Christ for Stella F. Cummins, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Cummins, 85, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Tom Dawson will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday. Mrs. Cummins was born January 3, 1920 in Electra, Texas; the daughter of Gus Choate and Lovie West Choate. On Feb. 18, 1949 she was married to Ellis Weldon Cummins in Henrietta, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1955 from Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death September 26, 1989. She was a homemaker and member of Westside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Gus Dean Cummins, a brother, and two sisters. Survivors include her son Tim Cummins of Artesia; grandchildren Lindsay Cummins of Artsia, Jesse Cummins, and Kacey Cummins both of Rock Springs, Wyoming; great-grandchildren Lotus Molinaar of Artesia, Ethan Molinaar of Artesia, Jaylyn Lippis of Artesia, Preslee Ostahl of Rock Springs, Jordan Miller of Rock Springs, Timmy Miller of Rock Springs, and Josh Nelson of Rock Springs.
