Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 24 at First Baptist Church for Stancie Guinan Hammond of Artesia, New Mexico. Ms. Hammond, 30, died Saturday, December 21, 2002 in Artesia. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Andy Davis, Stan Hammond, Adam Wortley, Colby Taylor, Jim Callaway, and Nathan Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Pinson, Willie Pinson, Warren Gleghorn, Wade Mulcock, Wade Smith, Bill Brown, Mark Boling, Mark McCaleb, Steve Clark, and Jeff Youtsey. Stancie was born October 6, 1972 in Artesia; the daughter of Frank Guinan and Linda Smith Guinan. On June 27, 1992 she was married to Charles Hammond in Artesia. She was a Special Education teacher at Yucca Elementary School. Each one of her students, past and present, has a very special place in her heart. She was also a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lois Rook, Joe Smith, and Stanley Guinan. Survivors include her husband Charles Hammond of Artesia; parents Frank and Linda Guinan of Artesia; a son Stran Stone Hammond of Artesia; brothers Robert Guinan and wife Holly and their son Trevor of El Paso, Texas and Taggart Guinan and daughter Desiree of El Paso; her grandmother Florence Guinan of Artesia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
