Socorro Huerta

Funeral services are scheduled for 9:00 AM, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Socorro Huerta of Roswell, New Mexico.

Mrs. Huerta, 66, died October 3, 2018 at Artesia General Hospital.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Armando Reyes, Noah Lujan, Larry Huerta, Nat Huerta, Ty Franklin, Carlos Salinas and Pedro Garcia.

Visitation will be on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace with a rosary to follow at 9:00 a.m.

Socorro was born January 23, 1952 in Tornillo TX to Petra Huerta.

Socorro was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, music, family time and being a mom and grandma.

She was preceded in death by her mother, sister Linda Huerta and brother Johnny Huerta.

Survivors include her sons Rene Lujan of AcAlister, OK, Daniel Lujan of Roswell, NM, Andrew Lujan of Artesia and Blas Lujan, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; nieces Pauline Huerta, Anna Plank, Stephanie Reyes, Mary Mora, Melissa Salina and Linda Huerta; nephews Nat Huerta, Larry Huerta, Carlos Salinas and Raul Vega; grandchildren Anika Morua, Arianna Lujan, Noah Lujan, Dyana Lujan, Logan Lujan, Grace Lujan, Autumn Lujan, Andrew Lujan Jr. and Ethan Lujan.
