Shirley Ring

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Shirley Dean Ring of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Ring, 79, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Rev. David Grousnick will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Shirley was born August 29, 1936 in Pernel, Oklahoma; the daughter of Pat Bell and Odessa (McCarty) Bell. She was a long time Artesia resident.

On June 24, 1961 she was married to R.L. Ring in Artesia. He preceded her in death August 6, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son Butch Hignight.
Shirley was a Cafeteria Server with Artesia School system and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed visiting the casinos, traveling, shopping, and loved her family.

Survivors include her daughters Jackie Martin of Las Cruces, N.M. Patty George of Artesia, and Shirley Kay Ring of Artesia; grandchildren Beverly Garlets, Christopher Bannister, Shelley Simmons, Verna Jones, and Aaron George; 9 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
