Shilo Newton

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, at First Baptist Church for Shilo McKaylee Newton, 1905 W. Sears Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Newton, 19, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at his home. PRev. Rick Sullivan and Peggy White will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Seth Tidwell, Matt Cochran, Brian Shetterly, Jarod Earl, Billy Bailey, and Clayton Steincipher. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday PMr. Newton was born October 27, 1986 in Artesia; the son of Garrett Newton and Sharon Spain Newton. PHe was a lifelong resident of Artesia. PHe was preceded in death by his grandfather G. A. Spain, great-grand parents B. and Florence Newton, and uncles Johnny Spain and Don Spain.
Survivors include his parents Garrett and Sharon Newton of the family home; brothers Jeremy Newton of Roswell, N.M., and Dakota Newton of Artesia; sister Robin Rhodes and husband Ted of Keller, Texas; grandparents Ken and Jo Newton of Artesia, and Hattie Spain of Artesia; niece Sadie Rhodes and nephew C.J. Rhodes; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
