Sherry Galloway

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Sherry Galloway of Artesia.

Mrs. Galloway, 68, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home.

Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Maurice Pruitt, Paul Loyd, Coult Galloway, Dillon Drake, Logan Drake and Aaron Drake..

Sherry was born August 21, 1946 in Carlsbad, NM; the daughter of Bill Drake and Kitty (West) Drake. She came to Artesia in 1981 from Farmington, NM.

On November 21, 1964 she was married to Buddy Galloway in Juarez, Mexico.

She was a bookkeeper and a member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God. She was an Explorer Scout Leader through APD and Secretary and member of the Valley Lion's Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Jim Jones, two brothers and a sister, and daughter Tracey Loyd.

Survivors include her husband Buddy Galloway of Artesia; daughter Trish Pruitt-Simmons of Albuquerque, NM; brother Patrick Drake Sr. and wife Ejie of Aztec, NM; grandchildren Leisha, Jadian, Paul, Elizabeth, Greg and Kasey; great-grandchildren Mariah, R.J., Jathan, Cross, Tyrah, Janessa, Emily, Triana, John Isaac, Jace and Wesley; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
