Shawn Goss

Memorial services are scheduled at 5:00 PM Tuesday, Mar. 26, at Hermosa Church of Christ for Shawn Lee Goss, 802 Bush Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Goss, 44, died Friday, March 22, 2013 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Everyone is invited to a dinner at the Artesia Moose Lodge 2701 W. Main immediately following the services.

Shawn was born March 9, 1969 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Michael Goss and Gayla Savoie Goss. He was a longtime Artesia resident until moving to Arlington TX in 1995, returning to Artesia in 2003.

He was an autobody painter and oil field worker. He was a member of Hermosa Church of Christ, N.R.A., Rocky Mountain Elks Foundation, very active in the Headstart P.T.O., Watchdog Dad, and in his childrens activities.

He was preceded in death by his greatgrandmother Edna McGuire, grandparents Bernell Johnson, Bob and Jean Morriss, Truett and Doris Goss, and a greatuncle W. B. McGuire.

Survivors include his mother Gayla Ivy and husband Jack of Artesia father Michael Goss and wife Caryle of Artesia sons Garrett Johnson Goss of Artesia, and Kolbyn Goss of Artesia daughter Sydney Goss of Artesia brothers Joel Goss and wife Sherry of California, and Scott Goss of Artesia sister Melanie Perry Ivy of Austin, Texas grandparents Billy A. Johnson of Artesia, and Doris Ivy of Artesia several nieces, nephews and a host of many, many friends.
