Mr. Ramirez, 41, died October 16, 2018 in Artesia.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Scott was born December 6, 1976 in Roswell NM to Joe Ramirez and Viola (Acosta) Hernandez. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

Scott was a construction worker and a member of the Life Church in Abilene, TX. He enjoyed fishing, cruising in his truck, cooking out and listening to oldies and kingdom music.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Guillermo and Maria Acosta and Larry and Talo Ramirez.

Survivors include his parents Joe Freddy Ramirez and Viola Acosta Hernandez of Artesia; daughter Cienna Marie Ramirez of Hobbs, NM; brothers Richard Acosta of Artesia and Robert Ramirez of Belton, TX; sisters Pamela Mendoza, Gloria Hernandez and Angela Hernandez all of Artesia; granddaughters Aaliyah Ortiz and Mireya Ortiz; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
