April 13, 1946 — January 24, 2023

A memorial gathering will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4 at Harvest Fellowship for Sarah Elizabeth Chapman Webb of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Webb, 76, died on January 24, 2023 in Artesia.

Sarah was born on April 13, 1946 in Hobbs, New Mexico; the daughter of Orville Charles (O.C.) Chapman and Marion Ruland Chapman.

Sarah, her identical twin, Sue, older brother, Burney, and their parents lived in Wichita Falls, Texas, until 1959, when their father's work relocated them to Artesia. She graduated from Artesia High School in 1964, and after some time studying at New Mexico State University, returned home. She spent many years working at Artesia Laundry and Cleaners, where she served as the office manager and owner Howard Whitson's right hand. She married Rodney Webb in 1978, and left her position at the cleaners in 1983, when she had her child, B.D. Sarah and her family left Artesia to Littleton, CO, and then to Cairo, Egypt for several years before returning to Artesia in 1994, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Sarah's greatest love was her family and her favorite hobby was caring for and spoiling her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Sue Snow, and her older brother, Burney Chapman.

She is survived by her daughter B.D. "Sue" Spencer, husband Ransom; two nieces she loved as her children Cindy Snow, husband Hosam, and Hayley Klein, husband Kevin; grandchildren Elizabeth Kathryn Spencer, Sarah Sue Spencer, Kaylin Klein, and Ocean and Rain El Dakhakhni; and nephews Brandon, Blane, Brice and Baker, and their families.
