Sara Rodriguez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Sara T. Rodriguez of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Rodriguez, 80, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Artesia General Hospital. Fr. Roberto Barreto will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Rodriguez, Larry Rodriguez Jr., Raul Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, Augustine Sierra, and Lawrence Sierra Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Thursday beginning at 4:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Rodriguez was born December 17, 1928 in Presidio, Texas; the daughter of Guillermo Rodriguez and Herlinda Tavarez Rodriguez. She came to Artesia in 1950 from Texas. She was a caregiver to her mother and other family members and also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic church. Sara was preceded in death by her parents; brother Fermin Rodriguez; and sister Selsa Ramirez. Survivors include her brothers Manuel Rodriguez of Odessa, Texas, Roberto Rodriguez and wife Elvira of Artesia, and Willie Rodriguez and wife Esther of Artesia; sister Gloria Sierra of Albuquerque, N.M.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
